August 29, 2016 (Fort Collins, CO) – Niner Bikes is rolling out a budget-friendly
aluminum model of its recently-launched and redesigned RIP trail bike. With two builds
offered, riders wanting to ride aluminum can now access one of Niner’s most soughtafter
new trail bikes.

Featuring the same [R]Evolution geometry and CVA suspension design found in the
carbon versions, the RIP still features Boost spacing and is compatible with 27.5 Plus
wheels along with 29” wheels. The aluminum model maintains a user-friendly threaded
bottom bracket, ISCG 05 tabs, and internal or external dropper post routing, among
other features.

“It is no secret that modern-day mountain bikes, when made with carbon fiber, cost a
fortune. With our recently-launched RIP, we didn’t want budget-minded customers to
miss out on this amazing and capable bike, so going aluminum simply had to happen,”
said Niner’s President Mike Gahn.

The aluminum RIP is offered with both 29-inch and 27.5 Plus wheel sizes. Both wheel
options are built with a Shimano SLX drivetrain and priced at either $3500 or $3800,
respectively, giving the value-minded consumer options within the longer-travel trail
segment.
