Elevenate Agile Jacket – Effortless Style and Warm 750 Down Puffy

The Elevenate Agile Jacket is one heck of a nice puffy.  This is a high end down and synthetic insulation jacket that is warm as heck and super stylish to boot.

I just learned about Elevenate this last fall and have been enjoying the heck out of the Agile Jacket on an almost daily basis.  They also sent over a very nice Gore-Tex Pro Shell jacket that I have been using for splitboarding as well.  Check out that review here – Elevenate Bec de Rosses Jacket.

Elevenate Agile Jacket – High-End Warmth and Style

We do test a lot of puffy jackets at Engearment, and we love doing so.  From the newest and best synthetic insulations to 850+ RDS down garments.  The Agile is a mixture of both.  The fact sheets state it is comprised of 750 fill power 95/5 white goose down and synthetic fibers.

What I notice is ample loft from the down in the quilted chambers and synthetic insulation in the areas under the arms and on the sides.  And perhaps around the elbows.  I would venture to guess that the strategic placement of the synthetic insulation in those areas is intended to help keep the user warm, in areas that might see more compression and contact.

A mid-weight down jacket, not!

They also list this as a mid-weight down jacket.  I am going to have to politely disagree on that.  This jacket is easily as warm as most of my more robust winter jackets and parkas.  I find it to be as warm as the Patagonia Macro Puff (full review of that here) The Macro Puff has 135 grams of insulation and has kept me toasty in single digits and teens (F, not C).

stuffs into is own pocket and weighs 19.6 ounces. Surprisingly light for being so stuffed with insulation!

So, I would say this jacket has at least 150 grams of insulation.  I can not find any documents to back this up, but I have used it for several winter camping trips this winter and use it daily in temps in the teens.  And love it. I believe there is 100 grams of synthetic insulation.  So, perhaps 3-4 ounces of the 750 fill down?

Stylish AF

This is not a reason to recommend a jacket usually, but this is one attractive puffy.  The fit and style are very appealing.  Little touches like the metal grommets and colorful patch on the chest help this jacket stand out.  It is not “in your face” like some fashion first, function second, manufacturers do.  I found myself wearing this to events outside of mountain activities.  To my wife’s law firm Holiday Party, to Christmas with the in-laws and to pitch ideas with major companies.  It looks damn sexy.

Review of the Elevenate Agile Jacket

As you have probably gathered from the borderline maniacal rant of a positive review above.  I love this jacket.   The features of it.  The great warmth it provides.  The way the elastic hem hugs under your butt and keeps drafts out.  From dirtbag camping in a blizzard to dawn patrols, to fancy dinner parties – the Agile has served well.

The only thing I did not dig, was the hood adjustment strings on either side of the neck.  I found that I could use the toggle in the back to achieve the desired fit, and did not need the ones in the front.  So, I cut them out.  At first I thought it might affect the looks, but it did not.  Still a great jacket and sexy AF!

The jacket comes with a higher price tag than some others that we test and review.  MSRP is $400, but it is on sale for 20% off at the time of this write-up.  Elevenate makes high-end winter clothing for high-end users.  Here is a selection of their line up from Moosejaw.
