Memorial Day Weekend is almost upon us, which means it’s gear swap season!

Now is the time to do some spring cleaning and sell gear you no longer need or upgrade your gear closet with some sweet deals on sample and demo gear.

CMC Spring Gear Sale is May 17.

The Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) will host it’s annual Spring Gear Sale this Friday. Buy gear, sell gear and purchase sample footwear and apparel from CMC partner Adidas TERREX.

Entry is free and a portion of the proceeds go back to the CMC and its programs.

If you are a seller, items will be accepted at the AMC on Thursday, May 16 from 3 to 7 PM and Friday, May 17 from 3 to 5:30 PM. For CMC members who are selling items, 15 percent of the sale price of each item goes to the CMC. For non-CMC members who are selling, 25 percent of the sale proceeds go to the CMC.

This weekend only, donate your used backpack, tent, or sleeping bag to a local charity and get 25 percent off a new or used one during FERAL’s 3rd Annual Great Gear Trade In.

Donation item can be ANY condition tent, backpack or sleeping bag. All trade-in items will be repaired, laundered and donated to Impact Denver.

Wilderness Exchange’s 13th Annual Gear Swap is May 18.

For over a decade, Wilderness Exchange has held a massive yard sale in the parking lot behind its store. Tents and tables are available on a first-come, first serve basis for people who want to sell unwanted gear. Set up begins at 8 AM, while the actual sale event begins at 9 AM.

Sales representatives will also be on hand to sell discounted samples and demo gear.

Pro Tips: If you plan on selling gear, make sure you bring a camping chair to sit on if you arrive too late to grab a table. Also, make sure you have plenty of cash on hand to make change or snag some deals for yourself.
