January 2020 Outdoor Industry Film Festivals
Get inspired and stoke your wanderlust at these exciting outdoor industry film events happening this month.
Join the Colorado Mountain Club for a film series featuring an incredible skiing story including local skiers and friends of the CMC. Beyond Skiing Everest is the story of identical twin brothers Mike and Steve Marolt and life long friend Jim Gile progressing their mountaineering from the peaks of Aspen, Colorado to the greater ranges of the world.
From the first American ski descent of an 8,000 meter peak, to being inducted to the USA National Ski Hall of Fame, the film covers nearly 30 years and a very extensive skiing resume in 5,000 meter to 8,000 meter peaks including a pioneering effort to the ultimate- climbing and skiing in the Winter Himalaya.
The event will have the full feature film documentary, a Q&A with Mike and Steve, prizes, drinks, and good times with your outdoor community! All proceeds benefit the Colorado Mountain Club’s efforts in recreation, education, and conservation.
