Salomon Sense Ride – All Terrain Comfort
Salomon makes some of my favorite fitting shoes. The Sense Ride fits like many of us like and has a good, shock absorbing midsole. The Salomon Sense Ride is at home on the trail as it is for everyday use. From trail running to grocery getting, the Sense Ride feels great.
From Trail to City
I used the Sense Ride for several light hiking trips in the foothills of Colorado. I am not a proficient runner, so I can not comment on the running characteristics. Whoever, I am very active and spend a lot of time on my feet. Whether that is on the trail, scrambling over rocks and various roots or training clients at my gym. Having a high-quality shoe is paramount to me.
Comfort on day one
Salomon shoes tend to run a little narrow, which is ideal for my narrow feet. The Sense Ride fit much like other Salomon shoes. If you like that fit, then you will love these. The moment I slipped these onto my feet, I knew these were going to be some of my favorite shoes. The 8mm heel drop coupled with the nice midsole proved to be ideal for my use. The midsole is comprised of VIBE – a combination of Compressed EVA, EnergyCell, and OPAL that work together to make your feet feel good on variable terrain. The Molded EVA sockliner and Sensifit work together to secure the foot in place. No slipping here.
Contagrip for traction
Like many Salomon shoes, the Sense Ride features the proven Contagrip. This proved grippy on even wet spring days. Yet not too grippy for use inside. From the ground up, the Ride is built to perform. Through in the tried and true QWuicklaces and you have a sold trail running shoe.
