Holden kind of blew our minds with the Fatigue 3L pant. I don’t think we have ever seen a cotton based AND waterproof fabric used in snow garments. Yes, cotton. Holden is all about keeping things eco-friendly (have been since 2002) and even goes with an environmentally friendly PFOA free DWR treatment. Heck, even the bag it comes in is biodegradable.

Holden Fatigue 3L snowboard pants review

Inspired by military durability, the Fatigue Pant is made with a 70% cotton / 30% nylon poplin material that is super burly. This is not your typical nylon based noisy pant, it is silent and has a soft feel to it. The pants also have some mechanical stretch to them. They have a 3 layer waterproof breathable membrane rated at 20k/20k as well. When you think of all that, then you feel them, you can see how it kind of blew our minds.

Besides the unique materials used, there are several smaller details that are worth mentioning. Like the leather belt loops, non-loop zipper pulls and leather reinforced heel and all around style points. Of course, there is the inner thigh zippered leg venting. Two zippered hand pockets, two zipped rear pockets and one cargo pocket on right thigh.

The pants are definitely bomber and will last several seasons of hard use. I wound up using them for snowboarding, splitboarding, dog walking and relaxing at the cabin. They have a very stylish look to them and have a relaxed fit. MSRP $299
