January – March are prime months for Outdoor Adventure film festivals! Don’t miss out on these screenings:
January 10
In Due Time. Endurance athlete Jason Antin will be at Bentgate
Mountaineering to present a film about his journey to set the Arctic Circle
speed record with fellow athlete Mike Chambers. RSVP for the free event on

January 19
Backcountry snow sports enthusiasts will not want to miss the
2018-19 Backcountry Film Festival in Dillon. Funds raised at each
screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation
and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs
and to raise awareness of winter management issues. All proceeds from the
Backcountry Film Festival will support the work of the Friends of Dillon
Ranger District. Tickets are $10 – $15 and can be purchased here.

The 16th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival tour will stop at the Mayan
Theater in Denver this year. Made by activists for activists, the tour includes
award-winning environmental and outdoor adventure films selected not
only for their great visual stories, but also to inspire and motivate us to
continue the cause to keep the Rocky Mountains wild.
Opening reception begins at 5:30 PM, followed by films starting at 7 PM.

February 5
Reel Rock 13 includes four climbing films to inspire climbers. Enjoy an

The premier outdoor recreation film event, the Banff Mountain Film Festival
will make its annual stop at the Paramount Theater in Denver. For three
days, viewers will see short films and documentaries about mountain culture,
sports, and environment. Banff is as much of Colorado outdoors culture as
Warren Miller. Tickets are$22.50 for each night and can be purchased
through theColorado Mountain Club. This event will sell out!
