Adidas Terrex Two Parley Shoe – Recycled Shock Shoe Review

Adidas Terrex Two Parley Shoe – Recycled Shock Shoe Review
The Terrex Two shoe featuring Parley materials from Adidas is quite a unique shoe. It fits like a sock and grips like an ATV. Plus, it helps keep the oceans clean. What more could you ask for in a shoe?
Parley – If the Oceans Die, We Die
Those are the words of Captain Paul Watson. Pretty heavy-hitting stuff, but it is true. The oceans are full of pollution and we can all do a bit more to help out. Parley is a major effort to unite all kinds of leading thinkers and doers of the world, to help save the oceans. You can read more about Parley here.

Parley
There is an estimated 8,000,000 tons of plastic trash in the earth’s oceans, each year. That is a major problem. So, individuals and companies, like Adidas, have teamed up to try and Avoid, Intercept and Redesign materials to help this issue.

Feel good, Do good
So, you can feel pretty dang good about the Parley collaboration with Adidas. There are several models of shoes featuring Parley within the Adidas line up. For this review, we are going to focus on the Terrex Two shoe. It is a lot like the Free Hiker shoe we reviewed a few months ago. In that, they both have the unique, knitted softshell material for the shoe body. And, both feel a bit like socks as they cover your foot.

Adidas Terrex Two Parley Review
The fit of the Terrex Two is spot on. Not like the Free Hiker boot that seemed to run a 1/2 size too big. The coverage around the ankle helps keep sand, dirt, and debris from entering the shoe and irritating the foot. I can see these being great for adventure races as the design is almost like a built-in gator. The Continental traction is legit. I found it great on late spring, early summer hikes and trail runs with our dogs.

Adidas Terrex Two Parley Traction
I took these shoes on many adventures in Colorado. One of my favorite testing spots was the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The Terrex Two proved to be good in the sand. These are very comfortable right out of the box as well. If you are looking for ankle support, you may want to look elsewhere. But if you want a lightweight shoe with good traction and awesome heal hold – grab these! MSRP $125

Hi Sean. I’m in doubt if this sneaker is water repellent. I know that it isn’t waterproof. Could you let me know if it’s water repellent?
There is a DWR treatment on them. I would not consider that enough to handle wet environments though. Hope that helps! Thanks for the question. – Sean
