Although I’m not a biker, I tested the Hymasa Tee through running and hiking. I got a feel for its breathability, material and construction. This technical tee boasts fabrics that lower your body temperature and to be honest, I was skeptical.

After many miles on the trail in this shirt, I was finally convinced that it really does keep me cooler (and make me look cool 😉 ). There are venting panels made of Polartec Delta fabric that is an “active mechanical wicking fabric”. Even on hot days of being exposed to the sun in the alpine, I was able to regulate my body temperature well and never felt like I was overheating.

“Polartec Delta uses radiating knit structures containing both hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarn to actively lower your body temperature”. To sum it up, the yarn that composes the shirt is magic and there are no chemicals used.

I was especially pleased with the fit. It’s true to size and hugs your top half without suffocating it. I’m 5’ 9”, 130 lbs, and the small fit perfectly. I wish the neckline was just a touch lower but it still wasn’t choking me. I don’t need a scoop neck but just something with a little more room would be nice. I like the length as well. It comes to just the top of my butt and doesn’t expose my stomach when I lift my arms nor does it get in the way when I’m scooting down something steep on my rear end.
The ultra-stretchy fabric doesn’t hinder any movement and completely moves with its wearer. The Hymasa Tee was designed for movement and Kitsbow hit the nail on the head in that department. It’s a super stretchy fabric and is one of the least restrictive shirts I own. Whether you’re biking, running or playing tennis, you have a full range of motion.
The Hymasa Tee has a UPF 30 rating. It’s reassuring to know you have a little extra protection while you’re out in the sun. This shirt also has proven to be very durable. It shows no signs of wear despite the numerous miles and washes. I haven’t put it in the dryer (generally not something I do with tech materials) but it has held up well with all the wash cycles. It feels like a brand new tee. And despite all the abuse I’ve put it though, it has held up really well.
Kitsbow Hymasa Tee Review
Bottom Line: The innovation behind this simple-looking tee is unparalleled. The sleek design, the material that helps lower your body temperature, the solid construction, it all comes together to make the perfect shirt for mountain adventures.
