FOEHN BRISE SHORTS

The Brise shorts are beyond comfortable. Imagine a running short that is functional for all outdoor activities. Im actually wearing them as I’m writing this review. They have an elastic waistband, 4 way stretch, and are made from recycled materials. While these are all great points lets talk about how they function in the real world.
First impressions, these shorts seem more of an active short but may not be great in abrasive environments. These shorts are great for the gym or sport climbing crag. Think of it this way, wake up early throw on these shorts and a tech tee, your light pack with shoes and chalk bag and take off on a casual run to your local bouldering spot without the need for a change of clothes. Finish up the bouldering session take a run over to the local spot to meet friends for brunch.
I’m a huge fan of the construction of these shorts being primarily recycled materials, the outdoor industry as a whole is moving towards sustainable practices and its goods to see newer companies starting off out of the gate sustainable. The zippered pocket is well thought out as you can still access it with a harness on and can keep a cell phone secure. The 4 way stretch allows for a lot of mobility. I most often find myself wearing the Brise short running, gym climbing, or scrambling!
The only thing I wouldn’t really do in the shorts is dive off into some cracks, I couldn’t see them holding up for a long time in abrasive environments but then again I don’t believe thats what they are designed for. Typically if I’m going crack climbing I’m going to wear a heavy duty pant to protect my legs. All in all, I love these shorts, I wear them quite often even in social environments as they are both functional and stylish.
