I’ve worn this shirt 3 times a week for the past 2 months. Mountain biking, trail running, strolling around the neighborhood – it’s so comfortable I just want to keep wearing it. And I can wear it several days in a row without throwing it in the laundry since the fine merino wool is pretty impervious to odor. This is a winning t-shirt.

Merino wool has excellent temperature control properties. A trail ride or run in late spring in Colorado can be in the 95-degree sun or 50-degree breezy shade, depending on the time of day and the path of the thunderstorms. Sometimes both, on the same ride! Ounce per ounce, thin merino wool feels warmer in the cold, cooler in the heat, and blocks more wind than a comparable synthetic blend.


Men's Apex Merino Tech T-Shirt

The fit of a t-shirt matter, especially for mountain biking and running. You don’t want extra material flapping around and catching on branches, or causing the dreaded chafe, but you also don’t want to walk around like you’re dressed for the Jersey shore (too tight causes chafe too). I’m 6’ tall, slender, and a size small fits really well.   I’m looking forward to wearing this shirt through the summer and fall.
