Spyder Glissade Hybrid Jacket – Super Stylish
Initially, what drew me to it was its appearance.
Spyder Glissade Hybrid Jacket review
First of all, I liked the strategically placed insulation panels on the collar, and along the front and back with angled cuts along the shoulders, giving it a streamlined, sporty look.
Secondly, I really, really appreciated the slimming effect provided by the double fleece weave, soft shell stretch sleeves and side panels that allowed for optimal freedom of movement.
In a world where it seems like every company offers a hybrid jacket, I appreciated Spyder’s stylish look and thoughtful design because it made sense (I’ve seen other hybrid jackets with stretch paneling placed in seemingly odd places and asked myself, why?).
Originally, I had wanted it to wear as a standalone for cross country skiing on warmer days, and having it on hand as a potential performance layer worn underneath an outer shell for colder days. However, I found myself wearing it for nearly everything- riding my bike, walking the dog, etc.
While it provides warmth without the bulk or weight, if you get easily cold like me, this 3-season jacket is best used in fall and spring conditions.
Great for any mountain activity, the Spyder Glissade Hybrid jacket packs down small (into its right hand pocket, actually), so you can stow it in a bag. Front zippered pockets keep keys, chapstick, and glove liners nearby.
The Spyder Glissade Hybrid jacket is very flattering. I love the way it looks (the red “Pulse” color really stands out on the mountain) and the way it fits!
