Join the Colorado Mountain Club for a film series featuring an incredible skiing story including local skiers and friends of the CMC. Beyond Skiing Everest is the story of identical twin brothers Mike and Steve Marolt and life long friend Jim Gile progressing their mountaineering from the peaks of Aspen, Colorado to the greater ranges of the world.
From the first American ski descent of an 8,000 meter peak, to being inducted to the USA National Ski Hall of Fame, the film covers nearly 30 years and a very extensive skiing resume in 5,000 meter to 8,000 meter peaks including a pioneering effort to the ultimate- climbing and skiing in the Winter Himalaya.
The event will have the full feature film documentary, a Q&A with Mike and Steve, prizes, drinks, and good times with your outdoor community! All proceeds benefit the Colorado Mountain Club’s efforts in recreation, education, and conservation.

Join evo Denver and SheJumps for their first annual film festival showcasing this year’s top films created by and starring women: “Dream Job”, “Jyosei”, and Lexi DuPont‘s new film “Shaped By Descent”.
This event is free of charge so stop by and enjoy an evening filled with great skiing, conversation, and complimentary beverages provided by Montucky Cold Snacks. All proceeds from the evening including raffle, beverage tips and a small suggested donation benefit SheJumps outdoor education programming. This event welcomes all those that support women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non- binary people who identify with the women’s outdoor community.

Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Denver, bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.
Held at the Alamo Drafthouse-Sloans Lake on January 30, the show will explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.

Join Colorado Mountain Club,for the 2020 Backcountry Film Festival in Golden!
The Backcountry Film Festival is produced by Winter Wildlands Alliance as a celebration of the human-powered experience and a gathering place for the backcountry snowsports community. Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization that partners with groups like the Colorado Mountain Club at the local level to inspire and educate the backcountry community to protect and care for their winter landscapes.
Funds raised at each screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter management issues. Adventure, environment and climate, youth outdoors, ski culture- you’ll find it all in this award-winning lineup.
