From the Rocky Mountains to the Hawaiian Islands, I’ve put Ursa Major Force Field SPF 30 to the test! This is a solid choice if you are looking for a mineral sunscreen.

It comes with an impressive list of quality ingredients and an even more impressive lack of chemical ingredients. Ursa Major’s Force Field absorbed easily into my skin without leaving that chalky residue that makes it obvious you’re wearing a mineral screen. This formula wasn’t overly dry or greasy either once applied.

This particular product is quality enough to use as your daily SPF, especially since it can double as a daily moisturizer. I’ve found it also layers well with makeup since I’ve been using it in the mornings on work days too.

If you are planning any snorkel or scuba trips, you need to be certain you are wearing sunscreen that is reef safe. Force Field IS reef safe, so I took this along on my Hawaiian vacation this summer. I was diligent about applying sunscreen daily, and not once did I burn. I really never felt like I got too much sun, despite being out in the elements for the majority of the day.

Once I was back in the mile-high city, I continued to apply this particular sunscreen at the local pool and again out in the foothills for some mid-morning and afternoon hikes when the sun was scorching. For me, it has always been easy to burn in the summer in Colorado, especially out in the mountains. I thought this sunscreen worked wonderfully for these outings as well. And because this SPF absorbed easily and fairly quickly into my skin, I didn’t notice it resurfacing when the sweat factor kicked in, which is something I’ve experienced with mineral sunscreens of the past.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Ursa Major Force Field SPF 30 as your new go-to. The bottle is a great size to throw in any bag when you’re on the go for any and all of your summer adventures, and product quality is second to none!
