On the days when you need to do a quick errand, or meet up with friends for a cup of coffee and wearing your pajama bottoms is not an appropriate option, I definitely recommend the Ripstop E Waist pants from prAna’s new Palisades collection.

Details Matter
Think of these as pajama pants that you can wear outside your house, but better. Featuring an elastic waistband with back peek-a-boo feature for stretch, these pull on pants are amazingly comfortable.
When I first tried the utilitarian-inspired pants, I was concerned that the high rise elastic waistband would chafe or be too tight. To my pleasant surprise, neither happened.
Oh, and there are mesh-lined pockets galore (five, to be exact). And, I’m all about pockets.
Among my favorite features are the slanted front pockets. WOW. They are the deepest, widest pockets I’ve ever found on a pair of pants. My hands swam in them! I could stash my phone and my wallet in one pocket. They rivaled the size of a small waist pack. How did prAna manage to sew pockets this large into their pants? Genius, absolutely genius.
Constructed from 58 percent organic cotton, 39 percent recycled polyester, and 3 percent elastane, the durable ripstop material is heavier than expected. They’re just the right weight for those warmer fall days when cotton joggers are too heavy, but most ripstop material or nylon fabrics are too light weight.

How do they look?
I first wore these on vacation touring wineries in Palisade (so appropriate since the pants are from a collection of the same name), and they were perfect for sitting on patios, sipping wine, and taking in stunning views.
I was initially concerned about the pant legs being too wide, or the inseam being too long (they’re not available in short), but the worry was unfounded.

If you’re looking for an athleisure alternative but want something effortless and comfy for lazy days, these are the pants you want.
