Smith Optics Sway Sunglasses Initial Impressions
The Smith Optics Sway Sunglasses (Tortoise + ChromaPop Polarized Rose Gold Mirror Lens, $205) are super fun sunglasses that stylishly protect your eyes.

Detailed Review
I’m a sucker for fun sunglasses. I usually go for the sportier frames (that could double as running sunglasses) but always opt for bright frames and bright mirror lenses. The styling of the Smith Sway lifestyle sunglasses were a bit of a departure for me, in that they are oversized frames with a hint of a cat-eye. I was worried that they’d be a bit obnoxious or I’d look like a bug, but my fears were allayed with I put them on. These glasses are kind of a Goldilocks for casual sunglasses: fun, funky, and comfortable!

The lenses offer a crystal clear ChromaPop polarization that have just a hint of amber to them. The mirror is HIGHLY reflective, which means no one can see my eyes (or their expression) while I’ve got them on. The Megol nose pads offer a non-slip grip, meaning they stay put no matter the activity.
I wore the Smith Optics Sway glasses all over the place: errands, daily driving, concerts, baseball games, sunny patios. I even wore them on long 7+ hour drives, during a camping vacation to Sedona in October. While the frames are on the bulkier side, they didn’t feel heavy after hours (and hours) of wear. They’re also really durable, holding up to multiple drops onto pavement (oops) and withstanding daily usage.

Overall Impression
The Smith Optics Sway lifestyle sunglasses have provided a bit of swagger and funkiness to my everyday eyewear needs. Whether doing more mundane things like driving to work or going to concerts at Red Rocks, these glasses are both stylish and comfortable. The optical quality of the ChromaPop lenses are fantastic!
