Fit and Feel

I found that the sizing of the Stio Lucent Tee LS was true to size while feeling slightly relaxed.

The Ultralight Tempic™ fabric is VERY lightweight and breathable.  The honeycomb knit gives the Stio Lucent Tee LS a little texture, which aids in wicking sweat.

The seams of the Stio Lucent Tee LS are smartly done.  All of the seams are flatlock stitched, which makes the seams durable while reducing chafing and irritation.

Performance

I’ve been wearing the Stio Lucent Tee LS on both mountain bike rides and runs, with temperatures between the 50s and 60s. I also generally always wear a hydration pack while running and riding.

The Stio Lucent Tee LS is a very breathable shirt, meaning if you want wind protection, this shirt is not the top layer you’re looking for.  But for high output activities where windchill isn’t a concern, this shirt is excellent.

The Stio Lucent Tee LS is the kind of shirt that fades into the background as your moving.  It’s there, doing it’s job, but it wears so nicely that you don’t notice it.

I especially enjoyed wearing the Stio Lucent Tee LS on a recent mountain bike ride in the mid-50s with an hour long climb, swooping descents, shady forests and exposed rocky areas.  The shirt works well with a hydration pack, thanks to the flatlock seams and athletic cut.  My back did get plenty sweaty from the hydration pack, but the sweat evaporated nicely when I was sitting out in the sun with my pack off.  Other high-sweat areas (armpit, elbow pits, neckline, waistline) remained sweat free the entire ride, even after extended climbing.

The Tempic™ fabric is also pretty tough.  Most shirts end up showing signs of wear from my pack use, espeically from my running pack.  The Stio Lucent Tee LS looks as good as new, even with many hours of wear under a hydration pack.

The other feature I appreciate about the Stio Lucent Tee LS is the UPF 50+ Sun Protection.  I often ride or run at altitude.  My longest activity while wearing this shirt was a 3 hour combo mountain bike ride + run.  It was nice to know I had built in sun protection and I noticed zero sun redness on my arms after that training brick.

I also really liked the highly visible colorways available.  I prefer to wear bright colors when out on the trail for safety.  My husband said he had no issue spotting me on the trail with the Hot Sauce color.

Closing Thoughts

The Stio Lucent Tee LS is a great active long shirt sleeve for all of your outdoor adventures. It’s available for both men and women.  Men’s sizing ranges from S to XXL  and women’s sizing ranges from XS to XL.

Erin is an adult-onset athlete who started as a Masters Swimmer and then developed into a triathlete.  She has completed 5 Ironman races and nearly 20 x 70.3 distance Ironman races, including the World Championship in Lahti, Finland, in 2023.  In 2025, she raced for Team USA in Pontevedra, Spain for the World Triathlon Cross Tri World Championship. She placed 9th in her age group and was the 1st American woman in her age group.
Somewhere along her triathlon journey, she picked up deep love of cycling. Cycling encouraged her to see landscapes in a new way, learn new skills and to develop self reliance; now she often goes and does Type 2 rides just to see if she can do it.  She’s got all the bikes: gravel, mountain, fat bike, time trial and road.
She is even known to combine her love of camping and cycling and go off on solo 24 hour overnight bikepacking trips in the mountains of Colorado. In addition to bikes, she teaches yoga, lifts weights, skis, SUPs and has recently purchased a campervan.

Erin is a former Montana park ranger with a degree in environmental engineering.  She loves getting into technical details while putting her gear (and herself) through the paces. She shares her home in Colorado with her husband, Will, and her 3 cats (Zipper, Brewtus, and Simcoe).
Fall and winter 2025 will bring Erin to the “Adventure Side”, with many camping, vanlife, bikepacking, and mountain bike rides. Once the snow flies, she can be find resort skiing, fat biking, and triathlon training (inside and outside).
2026 will bring a National Championship Cross Tri race, a National Championship Road Sprint and Olympic Distance race, and hopefully a chance to represent Team USA once again in 2027 in Edmonton, Canada. She’ll also save lots of room for adventure time with her friends and husband.
When not adventuring, she can be found on a sunny patio somewhere, drinking beers with her husband.
