Fit and Function

The Woolx Marilyn Flowy Midi Skirt is an easy to wear skirt, appropriate for a wide range of seasons and occasions.

I am a size medium on the Woolx size guide.  I found that I needed to size down to a size small for the Woolx Marilyn Flowy Midi Skirt.  The size medium was a bit too large in all dimensions.  The size small fit me better across the hips.  The waist band is a wide yoga-style that offers a bit of compression (especially when sized down).  I preferred the smaller size for a little midsection support; the size small waistline does come up to my lower ribs.  I actually like this for skirts and the higher waist meant that the bottom hem was also raised a slight amount.  If you like a more relaxed, lower waist, then you might want to consider ordering your regular size.

The cut of the Woolx Marilyn Flowy Midi Skirt is very flattering.  The A-line style is flattering across a wide range of bodies.  The lightweight Merino wool drapes and moves wonderfully, with no awkward bunching as you walk.

The two drop in hand pockets are also well placed.  They lay flat against you and don’t add volume to the hip area. The pockets are in a natural spot for placing your hands and are well sized, easily holding keys or a phone.

I’ve been wearing the Woolx Marilyn Flowy Midi Skirt to my office.  The skirt packs up nicely in my gym bag and doesn’t show any wrinkles after a few hours of sitting at my desk.  I imagine the skirt will also work well in the winter, paired with thicker tights and tall boots.  The skirt can also be dressed down, with a tank top or simple t-shirt, making it a nice option for brunch concerts, or farmers markets.

The Woolx Marilyn Flowy Midi Skirt is available in women’s sizes ranging from XS to XXL and in three colorways (black, graphite heather, navy).
