MSR Access 2 Tent – Ski Touring Dream Tent

A ski touring dream tent! Ultralight 4 season with comforting features. This tent utilizes opposing entries and vestibules which promotes head to toe sleeping and ease of entry.

The tent has a minimal profile to resist wind and the elements. It’s quick to set up, breathes exceptionally well, and feels spacious inside. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it ski touring yet but I have had it out in the Cascades, and Rockies, and haven’t experienced any internal condensation.

MSR Access 2 Tent

MSR Access 2 Tent, Frontcountry Tarp and Advance Pro 2

The Access 2 has help up great in storms and is lighter than most 4 season tents. Along with the Advance Pro 2, this tent utilizes the Easton Syclone poles and I’ve yet to break one. I’m excited to utilize this tent in the upcoming season as a ski touring tent. Weighing in at 3lbs 10oz its hard to notice the weight.  MSRP $599

Hi, I’m Will, I’m currently living the van life in Colorado. I enjoy mountaineering, splitboarding, climbing, trail running and type 2 fun! I’m 28 years old and spend as much time outside as possible. I moved to Colorado in 2014 from Mississippi and grew up in the mid-south. I have been snowboarding since 2000 and the mountains have had my heart ever since. You can find me anywhere from riding Colorado’s high peaks to climbing desert towers, to climbing in the PNW!
