Goal Zero Lighthouse 600 – Bright Light for Camping

Goal Zero Lighthouse 600 – Bright Light for Camping
The Goal Zero Lighthouse 600 ($70) is a versatile lantern that can be charged via the built-in USB cable or hand cranking. Making this a great light to keep in your bug out kit. Or, handy when you forget to charge the light LOL.
Goal Zero Lighthouse 600 review
I have been using the Goal Zero Lighthouse 600 for about 6 months now. Goal Zero sent this over for us to test mid summer and it has seen a lot of use since then. From warm summer camping trips, to single digit winter storms and everything in between. We put this camping lantern though the Engearment process for sure!
What is the Goal Zero Lighthouse 600?
This is a lantern, spotlight, battery charger and hand crank emergency light. Now, I would use it for all of these except for charging a phone or other device. I would rather use that energy to power the light. You could use it to power a device, but it would take away from the ability to illuminate. Just my thought on best uses for this lantern.
5200ma battery
This battery is sufficient to keep the light powered for the times listed below. If you would like to power a cell phone or other device, I would recommend a 10,000ma charger separately. Again, just my opinion.
Best Uses
This lantern is a great source of light for family camping trips and backyard card games. I have enjoyed using it as one of my primary light sources for camping the last 6 months. It has served me well in all kinds of conditions. Warm summer nights all the way to single digit winter camping trips.

The fact that you can recharge it by cranking it up should be appealing to a lot of people. I am thinking this would make an excellent light to keep in a bug out bag and for emergency use.
