My Trail Company Storm UL Jacket, Outdoor UL shirt Review
The My Trial Company Storm UL Jacket is a budget-friendly rain jacket that is also lightweight. Is there a catch?
Storm UL Jacket Features
The My Trial Co Storm UL Jacket is listed at $99, although it does go on sale from time to time. This makes it a great deal for those looking for a trail worthy rain jacket at a very fair price. The Storm UL offers many of the features you will find on similar rain jackets. The Storm has adjustable wrist cuffs, adjustable (and storeable) hood, pit zips, storm flap storable zipper and two zippered hand pockets. All these features and still under 10 ounces.
Review: My Trial Company Storm UL Jacket
Yes, it does. We spent a month wearing the My Trail Co Storm UL jacket for summer showers to full on rain storms. No issues with waterproofness. The WBP material is 2.5 layer (not many 3 layers options around this price point) so you may feel a bit clammy with perspiration during hikes. Not a big deal at all, just open the pit zips to dump the heat and moisture out.
A couple of features we most appreciated were the fully adjustable hood that can be stowed away when not needed. Just roll it up and store it around the collar with the provided velcro tabs. There are also two drop pockets on the inside of the jacket. Pretty nifty for storing hats or gloves. All in all, you get a heck of a great deal with the My Trail Co Storm UL jacket. This is not the most ultralight jacket, nor is it the most breathable or waterproof, but it sure will get the job done, and for a fair price. Available in men’s or women’s versions and don’t forget the pants! MSRP $99
My Trail Company Outdoor UL Shirt Review
The My Trail Co. Outdoor UL shirt is a lightweight shirt designed for outdoor activities and all around versatility. The Polyester fabric is knitted into hexagonal patterns that help dump heat as well as offer sun protection. At 4 ounces, it is easy to keep one with you for the trail or gym. Reflective hits on the front and back make this an ideal running shirt. The fabric wicks moisture well and the anti-microbial treatment helps keep the stink down on back to back days of hiking.
