Spyder Syrround Hoody Down Jacket is all about Performance

Spyder Syrround Hoody Down Jacket is all about Performance
For years, I remained faithful to my 800-fill Patagonia hooded down sweater. Why mess with a classic? However, this season, I’m adding one more puffy to the gear closet: the Spyder Syrround hoody down jacket.
The Syrround is all about performance. This is the puffy hybrid you want when you’re snowshoeing, hiking, or Nordic skiing. I even found myself wearing it fat biking on super cold days.
Stretch in all the right places
The strengths of the Spyder Syrround hoody jacket are its 360-degree stretch knit panels (great for aerobic winter sports), longer length (great coverage that doesn’t leave backside exposed) and deep front pockets that keep your hands warm and your chapstick and performance food close.
Strategically placed engineered baffled construction in this 600-down fill hybrid jacket keeps you toasty warm, while Spylon DWR repels moisture and keeps it hydrophobic. It is so warm that I had to take it off a couple of times while snowshoeing on a recent bluebird day.
Great fit and style
Finally, the overall design of the Syrround is flattering to women of all shapes, ages, and sizes. The ruching detail on the back is stylish, while the fit is not too slim or bulky. On a particularly cold day, I was surprised at how slender I looked, despite wearing a couple of layers underneath. Ladies who want to be extra in the style department can find a longer version of the Syrround, as well as one with removable faux fur trim along the fixed hood.
Available in three colors (Hibiscus, Blue Ice, and Black), the Spyder Syrround hoody down jacket fits true to size and is a fantastic hybrid jacket to take for winter backcountry adventures, and packs down small for convenient storage. MSRP $279 for women. Also available in mens $279.
