Formidable Media to Support Haymakers for Hope in Raising Money for Cancer Research, Care, Treatment and Survivorship
Global media agency to offer up its co-founder in Denver on June 6 to literally fight against cancer with blood, sweat, and tears.
Boulder, Colo. (April 30, 2018): Formidable Media co-founder Aaron Bible was tired of sitting on the sidelines watching family, friends and loved one’s battle cancer over the last 35 years. From his grandmother to some of his closest friends in adulthood, Bible, like so many others, has been affected by this omnipresent and misunderstood disease his entire life, and when presented with the opportunity to stand up, get in the ring, and do something about it, he put aside his own busy life and health issues and went all in, working through a grueling five-month training program to prepare him for the challenge.
Haymakers for Hope, founded in 2010, has sponsored 19 charity-boxing events in Boston, New York City and Denver, raising nearly $11 million for cancer research, care, and survivorship, through its own work and contributing to other nonprofits with the same goal.
To assist in this fundraising and keep Bible highly motivated, many of our long-standing friends in the outdoor industry and media world have stepped in to help. Brands including ALLIED Feather & Down, Icon Fitness, Untapped, VanDoIt, Elevation Outdoors, and The Rooster magazine have all come on as donors to this event, as well as many other friends and loved ones.
All of the fundraisings from Aaron’s efforts will go directly to Denver-based First Descents, whose mission is to get kids impacted by cancer outside kayaking, climbing, and living life to its fullest.
