Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer – Fashionable and Functional

This year’s Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer doesn’t miss a beat.

As a Krimson Klover devotee for years, I look forward to seeing what new designs the Boulder-based brand unveils each winter.

Featuring a modern take on classic Nordic prints, the well-placed graphics feature crossed skis (along mid-calf on the bottoms and along the forearms on the top), and accentuated throughout with stripes, mini checker print, and stylish snowflake wintery detail.

Constructed of a soft, recycled polyester/spandex blend, the Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer is ideal for someone who dislikes the feel of wool, but requires a baselayer that performs well.

Specifically, the Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer offers four-way stretch, UPF 50+ material, odor control, and moisture-wicking fabric that allows you to enjoy your favorite winter sport in comfort.

The leggings are seamless, so they offer maximum flexibility and do not restrict movement. The quarter zip on the top allows for airflow. The Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer’s brushed interior offers warmth with a silky soft feel.

Unlike many polyester/spandex blend baselayers, the Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer is not a compression fit.

I would describe it as a standard fit (avoiding the dreaded chafing that sometimes comes with compression fit) that comfortably moves with you without constriction. For someone middle aged and not in top shape, I welcome this fit.

Note that they are not available in tall or short sizes, so if you’re petite like me, you will need to either cuff or alter the sleeves and pant legs.

Based on past experience with Krimson Klover baselayers, I know that I will wear these frequently (I LOVE the classic Krimson Klover red, black, and white colors), both outdoors and indoors.

The Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer is so cute, I hate to cover it up for skiing or snowshoeing. I expect to get the most use out of them during spring skiing when I don’t require heavier baselayers, or can wear them right underneath my ski jacket so I can wear the top for apres ski.

Overall, the Krimson Klover Folklore baselayer is a winter favorite for its style, comfort and functionality; especially for those who find wool uncomfortable and compression fit baselayers too restrictive.
