Review

As a yoga teacher and runner, I’ve worn many MANY different tights.

The KUHL Kush Tight are some of the softest tights I’ve ever worn.

Sometimes with super soft tights, they feel good but they fail on performance.  They usually move around, are see-through, or the seams aren’t comfortable.

The KUHL Kush Tight manages to be super soft and also deliver on performance.

Testing Conditions:

  • Hot yoga (participant)
  • Vinyasa flow (instructor)
  • Weight lifting
  • Running

The KUHL Kush Tight are soft AND very stretchy.  I am a size medium on the KUHL size guide.  The KUHL Kush Tight is true to size, but due to the stretchiness, I could probably size down to get a more compressive fit. The infinity drawstring inside the waistband is a nice extra, but I found that I didn’t need to adjust it during my testing.

Range of movement while wearing the KUHL Kush Tight is fantastic.  I am able to move and bend into any position comfortably without restriction.

The lightness of the KUHL Kush Tight lends itself very well to hot yoga, where you want your legs covered but you don’t want to feel smothered.  The fabric is very light feeling (weight and texture) and felt like second skin while wearing the tights.  The tights are also completely opaque.

When I lift weights, specifically deadlift, the barbell hand grips sometimes snag my tights.  I didn’t experience any snagging or friction as I moved the barbell up and down the front of my legs during my deadlift session.

The KUHL Kush Tight was also great for running.  Colorado is having a late, cool spring, with misty rain and temperatures in the 40s. I tested these tights on tempo runs, about 1 hour in duration.

The drop-in thigh pockets are very generous and the top fabric is very stretchy.  I put my phone in a thigh pocket and my car key in the other thigh pocket during my run.  I was pleased to see that my items never bounced or moved around.  The waistband also stayed put, despite the extra pocket weight and constant downward gravity jolts as I ran.

The rear waistband pocket is big enough to store a phone (barely) and will also easily hold snacks, keys, or your ID/credit card securely.

Running in the KUHL Kush Tight was great.  The tights didn’t shift or need to be adjusted mid-run.  The seams are flatlock stitched and I didn’t experience any rubbing or chafing.

I also really love the Night Sky colorway  – it’s a beautiful dark teal/navy that provides a subtle pop of color.
