Outdoor Line for summer adventures, both on-trail and off.

Peak Design’s Outdoor Line was developed to solve common carrying issues like poor fit, overly bulky harness
systems, limited access, and over-engineered ‘technically baroque’ designs. Originally Consisting of 2 Outdoor
Backpacks (45L/25L), 2 Outdoor Slings (7L/2L), and an ecosystem of Packing Tools for clothes, gear, and
photography equipment, the Outdoor Line injected new thought into the saturated outdoor carry category, and
garnered top-tier recognition with a 2024 Design Award from ISPO.

New for this retail release, the 18L Backpack, 4L Sling, and accessories like the Helmet Carry Harness and Rain Fly
bring added protection, lighter carry options, and seamless integration with Peak Design’s modular ecosystem.
Most notable amongst these additions is the Outdoor Backpack 18L (MSRP: $189.95)–Peak Design’s smallest and
lightest backpack to date. Equally suited for day hikes, golden-hour photoshoots, and urban commuting, the 18L
Outdoor Backpack maintains the same comfort-elevating harness system and running-vest inspired shoulder straps
as its 25L and 45L predecessors but has been slimmed down with fewer external pockets and a single internal
access point via a 270-degree rear zip. Sleek, simple, and 20% lighter than the Outdoor Backpack 25L, the Outdoor
Backpack 18L still integrates with Peak Design’s Smedium Small and sized Ultra-Light Packing Cubes and Camera
Cubes.

New Outdoor Line offerings also include the Outdoor Sling 4L, Helmet Carry Harness, and Rain Fly 15L-20L. The
Outdoor Sling 4L (MSRP: $74.95) represents a perfect middle ground between the ultra-compact Outdoor Sling 2L
and the more spacious Outdoor Sling 7L. Maintaining the identical features of the other Outdoor Slings–comfortable
padded strap, and custom hardware that allows for ultra-fast conversion from sling to waist bag–the Outdoor Sling 4L
It is perfect for daily essentials and minimalist excursions. For burlier missions, the Helmet Carry Harness (sold
separately) quickly and securely holds a bike, climbing, or ski/snowboard helmet on the outside of any Peak Design
Outdoor Line, Travel Line, or Everyday Backpack, and the new Rain Fly 15- 20 L adds peace of mind against the
elements when carrying the Outdoor Backpack 18L and a variety of Peak Design’s popular Everyday Backpacks
(15L-20L).

“Our Outdoor Line offers the comfort, access, and modularity we found lacking in other outdoor-focused bags we’ve
carried throughout the years,” commented Peter Dering, Peak Design Founder and CEO. “We were elated by the
outcome of the Original Outdoor Line, but the addition of the Outdoor Backpack 18L, Outdoor Sling 4L, and
accompanying accessories makes the Outdoor Line feel truly complete.”
Peak Design’s Outdoor Line with add-ons will launch direct-to-consumer via PeakDesign.com and Peak Design
Retailers worldwide will go on June 6th, 2025.
