The Summit Pro Glove has several key features that make this an attractive item for your mountain biking apparel quiver.

  • Made with durable materials, including ripstop fabric on the back of the glove and Clarino suede palms.

  • 3DO Ghost knuckle protection sewn into the back of the fingers.

  • Microfiber area on thumb that makes a nice sweat wipe for the face

  • Sturdy velcro wrist closure

  • Comfortable fingers that are both touch-screen compatible and include nice silicone grip zones built into thumb and forefingers aiding in grip, shifting and braking

  • Made with recycled content where possible

PEARL iZUMi Summit Pro Glove Performance:

  • Right off the bat, these are the best mountain bike gloves I’ve owned. They’re lightweight, feel great on my hands and have excellent grip.

  • If you ride narrow singletrack, the knuckle protection and ripstop material of these will protect your hands and the gloves themselves. On my last ride, I definitely had tree branches and weeds brushing across my hands, and I came away with nary a scratch.

  • Ventilation: these gloves do have both breathable fabric and ventilation holes designed into them to help keep hands dry in hot and humid climates.

  • Fit: I wear an XL in these gloves, and they fit like, well, a glove. They feel great on my hands, and I don’t think about them when I’m riding, which is the idea.

  • The silicone grippers on key areas of these gloves mean my fingers are not going to slip off the brake levers or miss a shift.

  • The touch-screen compatibility of these gloves is key for me. I ride with my phone on a Quad-Lock mount on my stem running MTB Project trail maps for situational awareness. Also, when I’d like to snap a quick photo, I don’t have to strip the gloves off to take a photo.

  • Glove options: PI makes these in three colors: blue, red, and black. They’re available in five sizes, from XS to XL. Check out the Pearl iZUMi website for more details.
