Shredly Limitless 7″ – Stretch Waistband High-Rise Short

The Shredly Limitless 7″ – Stretch Waistband High-Rise Short are my favorite mountain bike shorts ever. I love them for their fit, comfort, and overall look.

As a petite cyclist, I have difficulty finding mountain biking shorts that are comfortable, have the features I want, and are an appropriate length.

Prior to wearing the Shredly Limitless Stretch, I don’t think I ever had a “favorite” pair of mountain biking shorts. Up until now, I merely tolerated them.

That has all changed since wearing the Shredly Limitless 7″ – Stretch Waistband High-Rise Short. They get the job done and more!

Look and Fit

Initially, I was hesitant to try them because the fit was described as “form fitting.” But, I really liked the Deep Sea Green color and wanted to switch things up from my usual black.

As soon as I put them on, I couldn’t believe how good they looked. Wow! When I was thinking form fitting, I was picturing more of a compression fit. Thankfully, I was wrong.

The shorts looked great! They were tight enough that they accentuated my rear (which my fiancé immediately noticed – thanks, articulated back panel!) but were not constrictive.

They do not come with a chamois, so I wore another brand’s chamois underneath.

I actually prefer mountain bike shorts with either no chamois or a detachable chamois, because I can ensure the chamois that I use has the right amount of cushioning that will stay in place where I want it to.

With the addition of the chamois underneath, the shorts fit well and did not feel too tight; even in the waist band.

Thankfully, the 7” length is perfect for mountain biking- not too long and not too short. And the wider, high rise waistband allowed more freedom of movement without digging into skin.

Bonus? No muffin tops! I am so glad to finally have a pair of flattering mountain bike shorts.

Performance and Final Thoughts

The Shredly Limitless 7″ – Stretch Waistband High-Rise Short gave plenty of stretch during the entire time I rode.

Shredly nailed it with the pockets! I loved the perfectly placed hip pocket that was roomy enough to accommodate my cell phone. The hand pockets were also spacious.

The versatile shorts are super comfy.. I have worn them just around town without a chemise underneath just because I like the feel and weight of the fabric, as well as the practical deep pockets.
