Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS
Review by Kate Agathon
I love a good seer sucker shirt; especially under hot conditions. Therefore, I was excited to try the Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS.
The Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS is identical to the Stio Eddy Shirt LS in cut and Western-inspired style. However, the unique weave of seer sucker fabric elevates the shirt in terms of comfort (think of fabric that acts as air conditioning) and breathability.
Stio’s Conflux™ seersucker fabric texture gives the appearance of paper towels, which is even more of an incentive to bring the shirt traveling (it’s difficult to spot wrinkles on crinkly fabric).

Look and Fit
Stio epitomizes mountain chic and is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands for their unique clothing silhouettes and attention to detail.
Although it is not available in petite sizes, the shirt was not overtly long- even worn tucked out.
Based on the reviews of others, I opted to wear a size XS instead of my normal size S. Despite sizing down, the XS was not too tight across the chest, nor were the underarms restrictive.
I appreciated the Western-style front pockets and yoke in the back. The pearl snap buttons are a nice Western touch as well. Details like that make Stio stand out from the rest.

The Pebble Plaid color is somewhat of a greige color, but I liked how subtle it was so it could be paired with virtually anything.
Performance
I recently wore it while on vacation in Grand Junction. Even though it was only early March, the temperatures were creeping to 70 degrees in the dry climate.
The Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS kept me cool all day, even though I was out for prolonged stretches under the intense sun. And I loved the feel of the seersucker fabric on my skin- it didn’t feel sticky as some other non-seersucker shirts can get.

I look forward to wearing the Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS mountain biking later this spring where the snaps allow me for more temperature regulation if things get hot. Also, the mountain chic look will keep me cool and comfortable and take me from trail to the brewery for a post-ride beer.

I recommend this stylish and functional shirt for hiking, travel, and (hopefully) mountain biking in hot, arid climates where the sun is especially intense.
Stio Eddy Coast Shirt LS comes in four colors (Lavender Hazel Plaid, Horizon Plaid, Pebble Plaid, and Ember Plaid) and six sizes (XS to XXL).
