Fit and Function

The Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress is described as a slim fitting dress on the Woolx website.  Compared to the other dress options in the Woolx lineup, the Harlow is the most slim fitting, but I wouldn’t put it into a true slim, body-con category.  I am a women’s size medium on the Woolx size chart and found that the Harlow was true to size, fitting well across the chest and hips without being too tight.  If you want a more slender fit, consider sizing down.

The upper of the Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress hits similar to a scoop neck t-shirt.  The bottom has a slight flare, keeping it out of a shift dress style and giving the garment a bit more shape. The bottom hem, for me, hits me right at the knee.  I have a very short torso, so those with longer torsos may find the bottom hem length to be a bit different.

The pockets are well placed for hand position and are big enough to hold keys, a wallet, or your phone.  The pockets don’t weigh down and cause the dress to hang awkwardly.

The ribbed fabric of the Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress is what gives this simple dress a little bit of pizazz. The ribbed knit offers a little texture and visual interest.

The Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress is extremely wearable across a variety of activities.  I’ve worn the dress on a movie date night (perfect for cooler theaters and summer evenings).  It’s been on constant rotation for office wear as well.  I love dresses in the summer because they reduce a lot of decisions in planning my outfit.  I really gravitate towards easy to care items that can pack well.  I go to the gym before work several days a week and am always wanting for items that I can pack the night before and have them look work-ready the next day after my swim.

The Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress packs up nicely, making it a great option for travel.  You can wear it alone for a simpler style or dress it up with accessories for a day-to-night look.

The fabric weight of the Woolx Harlow Ribbed Dress is on the thicker side compared to some items in the summer Woolx line up.  I haven’t found myself to get too warm – even when outside – thanks to the temperature regulating properties of Merino wool.

Fall and winter 2025 will bring Erin to the “Adventure Side”, with many camping, vanlife, bikepacking, and mountain bike rides. Once the snow flies, she can be find resort skiing, fat biking, and triathlon training (inside and outside).
In 2026 Erin took the National Championship in her Age Group for the USA Triathlon Cross Tri. She’s also racing the a National Championship Road Sprint and Olympic Distance race in Milwaukee and a few other off road triathlons and bike races.  In 2027, she will represent Team USA at the World Championship Cross Triathlon in Edmonton, Canada. When not adventuring, she can be found on a sunny patio somewhere, drinking beers with her husband.
