Backpacker’s Pantry Chicken Products Food Recall

Backpacker’s Pantry is participating in a precautionary chicken recall that has been initiated by their supplier’s supplier, Tip-Top Foods.

At this time no illnesses have been reported and none of the chicken from Backpacker’s Pantry freeze-drier that was purchased from Tip-Top has tested positive. However, the Boulder-based company has determined that all chicken products that have been produced using product associated with the Tip Top Poultry, Inc. recall should be removed from circulation.

Backpacker’s Pantry Chicken Products Food Recall

The bottom of this notice contains a comprehensive list of the products that are being recalled. If you have any of the products in your possession, and the expiration dates fall within the specified “Best By Dates” range, please follow the instructions below.

Step One: Send an email to info@backpackerspantry.com and include the following: Photo proof of the pouch the includes the Best By Date (which is found on the right top edge at the back of the pouch).

Step Two: Once Backpacker’s Pantry responds confirming the item(s), and that no further information is required, the product can be destroyed.

 All requests must be received by December 15, 2019.
