Thermarest NeoAir Camper Duo Sleeping Pad

The NeoAir Camper Duo Sleeping Pad from Thermarest is a great insulated, inflatable sleeping pad for camping.  It features two separate chambers so you can dial in the right amount of comfort for you and your partner.

Two sleeping pads in one

It is as simple as it is genius.  Thermarest attached two 25″ by 77″ sleeping pads together.  This way each person is complete control of the amount of softness (or firmness) they want their pad set too.  With every other two-person sleeping pad I have used, each person is at the mercy of the shared firmness of the sleeping pad. LOL.

You might be thinking that there is a gap, or other awkward thing happening between the pads.  Nope, not the case.  They did a good job of keeping it as streamlined as possible.

Durable materials

75D double diamond polyester on top (it has a nice grip) and 75D on the bottom ensure that this pad is made to last. Backed by a Lifetime Warranty, you can rest easy knowing Thermarest has your back. Man, that is some good copyrighting!

I love that these are hand made in Seattle, WA. Theramest knows what they are doing with making sleeping pads and bags.  The two-person sleeping pad comes in at 4 1/2 lbs and packs down pretty small (16″ x 6.5″)

Review of Thermarest NeoAir Camper Duo Sleeping Pad

I am impressed with the dual zones on this sleeping pad.  The grippy material on the top is good for keeping the sleepers on the pad.  My wife and I used this with the Thermarest Vela Double Quilt (read our review here) for some great summer camping. The pad is rated at R 2.2 – so this makes it good for summer use, or use above freezing.

The only thing I wish this NeoAir pad had, is a quick release valve.  I know, I am really stretching here to find something to improve on.  🙂 This sleeping pad is great for two grown adults who want a reliable, durable two-person sleeping pad for backpacking and camping.  MSRP $299
