Looking for burly resort and slack country outerwear, with helmet compatible hood and steeze? Then check out the StioEnviron Jacket and Pant.  Check out our video overview and then scroll down to read more.

Made of super durable 3 layer waterproof/breathable TorayDefly fabric that has a bit of stretch to it. Also, the fabric is not crinkly sounding – a nice plus. The hood is very generous and easily covers a helmet. Bonus, the hood is removable. There is a tall collar as well. Personally, I did not like the collar when wearing a backpack, I felt like it would push forward to touch the back of my head. It could soften up over time, we will see.

The jacket has 2 big zippered hand pockets, 2 zippered Napoleon pockets, 2 stretch inner pockets (one in the middle for goggles, one on the lower inside. The zippers are very nice, smooth as butter. Sleeve length is generous and can be adjusted down to go under gauntlet or over regular gloves.

Overall this a great jacket for most applications, especially resort skiing and snowboarding. It has a “steezy” fit to it, not restrictive and not too baggy. The drop tail is nice for keeping snow out of your backside. It also has a nice powder skirt.

My favorite piece is actually the Stio Environ Pants. Made of the same burly and slightly stretchy TorayDefly, these pants perform! The fit is very nice – again not too baggy or too tight, just right. There are 2 zippered, fleece-lined (very nice!) hand pockets, 2 zippered cargo pockets, 2 zippered back pockets and nice outer vents for dumping heat. There is also a nice stretch gator that will fit over ski boots, a bit tight over snowboard boots (depending on brand)

I have been using the heck out of the pants for snowboard and splitboarding. I keep gravitating to them over other pants. Both pieces are top notch and will treat you well. The TorayDefly is related at 10k/10k but I had no issues with waterproofness or breathability. These are built to last season after season.

Stio Environ Jacket MSRP $425

Stio Environ Pant MSRP $350
