It’s a Shirt! It’s a Jacket! No, it’s the Stio Buckhorn!

Take your favorite burly flannel, add some microfleece backer, some hand pockets and you got yourself a go-to fall/winter flannel. That is exactly what Stio did with their new Buckhorn Jacket ($165) We had a chance to test it out during some cool fall camping, early morning dog walks and relaxing around the cabin. The Buckhorn saw lots of use!

The flannel is 100% cotton bonded material on the outside. The inside is a 265gm polyester microfleece for warmth and next to skin comfort. They added some classy Pertex Micro nylon paths to the elbows and fancy metal buttons (no plastic here!).

What we liked about the Stio Buckhorn Flannel Shirt

Instead of the typical button down, Stio opted for a zipper (we liked this). The fit is more relaxed than fitted. At first, we found it a bit boxy, but that quickly was forgotten and we enjoyed using the jacket in all kinds of outdoor activities. Bar tacks make for strong seams.  This would make a great cabin, after ski, chilling by the campfire, gathering firewood, walking the dog and enjoying a beer kind of garment.
