Chris Nation first got a taste of the outdoor lifestyle as a young child; some of his earliest memories are of wooded trails near his hometown of Philadelphia and taking family road trips to hike with his Grandmother in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Upon moving to Colorado in 2010, he jumped at the opportunity to pursue bigger and more challenging objectives as a snowboarder, angler, and backpacker.

Since then, he’s also added splitboarding, rock climbing, and high altitude mountaineering to his long list of outdoor hobbies, and loves to combine all of these as multi-sport adventures whenever possible.

Right now he’s most excited about honing his multi-pitch and trad climbing technique, excursions to glaciated peaks across state lines, and sharing his skills and stoke with new climbers as a volunteer instructor with the Colorado Mountain Club.

He also loves being able to use outdoor adventure as an excuse to travel, having already completed big objectives in Mexico, the Andes, and the Himalayas.

When he’s not out spending time in various mountains, forests, deserts, and waterways, Chris enjoys cycling around Denver, training at the climbing gym, working in his backyard garden, cooking up tasty meals, and constantly daydreaming about his next big day out in the wilderness.
