Kuhl Destroyr Pants – Great Lightweight Stretchy Pants

The Kuhl Destroyr Pants $129 are a great 4 season softshell pant for active people. We go over the Kuhl Destroyr vs Klash and other features of these stretchy pants.

Kuhl Destroyr Pants Review

I have been using Kuhl brand pants and shorts for years.  We have detailed reviews up on the Navigatr Renegade and most recently the Klash. All of these pants are great for active people.  As a fitness professional and avid outdoors person, I look for as much stretch as possible in clothes.

Not only am I looking for stretch, but I am also looking for durability and function too.  This is something Kuhl does very well with their clothes. They seem to approach creating clothes for people like me (and hopefully you too!) By thinking about what a person like you or myself would want in pants, they design from that standpoint, and it shows.

From the side pocket for a cell phone (I don’t know why more companies are not doing this!) to the gusseted crotch (which allows a great range of motion) Kuhl just nails it with the function and design.  They also do a great job of making them look good.  They have plenty of other pants that are more traditional looking, but the ones I mentioned above are my favorites.

What makes the Kuhl Destroyr great?

Well, we already coved the stretch and good looks, so what else makes these great pants?  The material is lightweight, though not as light as the Navigatr.  Which is nice for colder months.  Currently, it is 6F here in Denver and I am wearing these pants as I write this.  We just walked the dogs and went to the grocery store.  I will be leading some fitness classes in a few hours and will be wearing the Destroyr during the class.

That is versatility!  To go from cold to warm, casual to work to exercise, all with one pair of pants is pretty great. The zippered pockets is an added sense of security for travel as well as keeping gear in the pockets when doing some crazy adventures.

The side cell phone pocket was a bit tight for the first few days.  For reference, I am using the iPhone 12 Pro large with a Lander phone case.  So, it is a rather big set up. The pocket did stretch out and works just fine now.

Bottom line – these are very comfortable pants that are well suited for everyday use inside or outside.  They provide enough protection from light rain and light snow, though they are not waterproof (nor do they claim to be).  These have been great for my uses and I can recommend them.  The fit and function are great.  I used them several days in a row without them stretching out or becoming uncomfortable.  So, they would make great travel and multi-day backpacking pants.
