Prana Stretch Zion Pant – Perfect Pants for the Active Man

I bought the Prana Stretch Zion Pant ($89) for my husband for Christmas. They are pricey but so worth it! He has worn them hiking and snowshoeing several times now and there are so many features he raves about. I’m not kidding – he RAVES. About pants. Who knew?

 

There are plenty of features that make this the perfect pair of pants for the active man. This winter/spring season we’ve gone on several of those hikes that start out pretty chilly and end up nice and warm. The ventilation in the crotch is great for those days, and the pants keep him warm enough during the cold start.

The Zion pants have a clip at the bottom that makes them easy to roll up when it gets really toasty. He swore he’d never use this feature as he wasn’t a fan of the “Capri” look on himself, but surprisingly it has become his go-to look! It’s just too practical I guess. And these pants look too cool all around to be mistaken for a trendy Capri situation anyways.

Prana Stretch Zion Pant Review

Which brings me to all the reasons he’s been wearing these pants pretty much every Saturday, regardless of whether we’re hitting the mountains or staying in town. They look really cool. They have a modern fit – snug around the legs, but looser in the hips. The material is stretchy – “like a glove” he says – but doesn’t necessarily have a stretchy look to it.

He’s obsessed with the built-in belt too – he’s a big belt user, even with active pants so the built-in belt is a win for him. He said these pants are so comfortable that it’s like he’s wearing a second pair of skin. I wouldn’t say that about my most comfortable pair of leggings so I’m
