Roll Recovery R3 Orthopedic Footroller – Budget Friendly and Portable

Roll Recovery R3 Orthopedic Footroller – Budget Friendly and Portable
I was eager to try Boulder-based Roll Recovery R3 Orthopedic Footroller. First, because as a Coloradan, I like to support local businesses. Secondly, I’ve only recently started using recovery tools on my middle-aged legs, so my curiosity was piqued.
My reluctance to use recovery tools stems from the fact that I have never considered myself a hardcore athlete. I wasn’t on a sports team or even a recreational club. I never really thought that I trained hard enough to merit a recovery tool.
However, as a middle-aged recreational cyclist and hiker, I found myself becoming more sore after being out and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to recover. So, I was open to trying out the R3.
The R3 doesn’t give you a pleasant feeling when using it, because it is doing its job- really working on my feet.

After using the R3, I have noticed that some tension in my muscles have been released and I have a bit more flexibility. Consequently, rolling it underneath my feet in the evening has become a habit- not only after rides or hikes, but just casually.
Due to its petite size (5.5” x 2.5” x 5.5”) and multifunctionality, the R3 is a handy recovery tool to take while traveling.
As far as recovery tools go, the R3 stands out because of its non-symmetrical shape that is designed to focus pressure on all areas of the foot (inner, middle and outer), and its multifunctionality.

Dubbed the “Swiss Army Knife of Rollers”, the R3 can also be used to stretch glutes, hip flexor, calves, and hamstrings. It is also an FDA registered medical device.
Key features of the R3:
-
Shaped to target different areas of the Plantar Fascia.
-
Captures the inside, outside, and center of the foot.
-
Firm and stable while applying full body weight.
-
Non-slip and works over any surface.
If you’re new to recovery tools, or have a limited budget or space, the R3 is the way to go.
