Detailed Review

The Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt has quickly become one of my favorite shirts for the summer.  The shirt requires zero effort to look great – the collar stays nicely shaped and the shirt washes and air dries well, looking as good as new each time.

I am a women’s size medium on the Marmot size guide.  The Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt is slightly oversized with camp shirt vibes.  I prefer a more slim fit and found that the size small works best for me.  If you want a looser fit, then go with the recommended size from the size guide.

The shirt performs extremely well as a hiking or cycling shirt, thanks to the AirExchange fabric.  This fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester and has micro holes throughout.  The holes aren’t big enough to make the shirt see-through – you have to hold the shirt up to a light to see them.  But the holes offer incredible air flow and breathability.

I’ve been wearing the Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt as a business casual shirt to work and also as a performance item on the mountain bike.

The Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt performs wonderfully as an athletic shirt.  The bottom hem hits me mid-hip and the sleeves come down mid-bicep.  The sleeves aren’t tight, even with my larger shoulders and arms, leaving plenty of room to move around.

I usually wear a hydration pack when I mountain bike, and have found that the Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt works well beneath a pack, with no rubbing or bunching.

The Marmot Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt is also durable.  I haven’t noticed any pilling or wear from my pack.  I also haven’t seen any snags from close encounters with scratchy trees.

I especially like this shirt because of it’s versatility.  I can easily wear it to the office and then go straight to my after-work group ride.  It also easily goes from trail to the brewery or lunch at a restaurant, looking fresh and unwrinkled.

Closing Thoughts

The Marmot AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt is a lightweight camp shirt option that’s equally at home on the trail, at camp, or in town.

The Women’s AirExchange Perforated Short-Sleeve Shirt is available for both men and women.  The women’s option is available in 4 colorways and in sizes ranging from XS to XL. The men’s option is available in 7 colorways and in sizes ranging from S to XXL.
