The Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket is the best-looking down jacket I have ever worn. The targeted diagonal baffling along the front presents a flattering look that both slims and elongates.

Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket Review
Look and Fit
Thank you, Mammut, for providing a timeless, good-looking jacket.
During a time when boxy, cropped shapes are trending, I appreciate how Mammut has kept both practicality and the long game in mind.

First of all, I live in a mountain town where conditions can change quickly, so full coverage outerwear with no exposed areas is a must.
Secondly, I want a down jacket that I plan on wearing for many years to come, so I’m okay skipping the relaxed fit boxy trend.
Despite being described as a regular fit, the Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket’s long shape combined with the exquisite targeted baffling provides a fitted look that makes me appear slimmer.
The sleeves were not too long which was also nice, as most jackets that are not offered in petite sizes have overtly long sleeves.

Finally, the regular fit cut is true to size. This is also a relief, since no one likes to have the unexpected surprise of ordering a jacket and discovering it is too big or too small.
Sizing surprises have become more commonplace and are such a hassle to deal with, that some brands I avoid altogether. Thankfully, Mammut is not one of them.

Features
Mammut is the official brand apparel of nearby Copper Mountain ski resort.
Everywhere you go, you see Copper Mountain staff wearing the Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket with the embroidered logo. And it looks sharp.
More importantly, Copper Mountain would not outfit its staff with subpar outerwear. They’re going to choose a down hoody that is capable of withstanding the harshest conditions at the fifth highest ski resort in Colorado.

Built for the mountain, the Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket features 800 fill DRYDown Insulation with hydrophobic finish, a hood with elasticated border, elasticated cuffs, and a YKK Vislon® 2-way zipper for smooth operation.
The zippered pockets (one chest and two hand) keep things stowed safely. A drawstring on the hem adjusts when needed, and the completely compressible hoody can be packed down and stowed into one of the pockets.
Constructed from recycled, abrasion-resistant Pertex® Quantum outer fabric, the Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket is both wind resistant and water resistant.

Performance
I have worn it in a variety of alpine conditions, including spring snowstorms and cooler bluebird days. It always kept me toasty warm.
The Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket provided so much warmth in fact, that I could wear baselayer underneath with no need for additional layers.
Because conditions quickly change in the mountains, this hoody is useful for spring, fall and winter. Its packability makes it a top choice for traveling as well.
Final thoughts? The Mammut Broad Peak IN Hooded Jacket’s design is flattering and timeless.
Its 800 down fill makes it on the warmer end of down hoodies. Ready for any adventure, I love the way it looks and the considerable warmth it provides.
Available in three colors (Marine Black, Black, and Mammut Red) and six sizes (XS to XXL).
