Detailed Review

I have been wearing the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top for several weeks and this is a top that I haven’t quite figured out yet because of it’s versatility – and I mean this as a compliment.

I am a size medium on the Woolx size guide and I found that the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top fits true to size, but is also somewhat of a slim fit.  If you want a looser fit, size up.

The knit of the merino wool that’s used in the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top is the star of the show. The fabric has a satiny matte sheen to it on both the inside and the outside of the shirt. The result is a really luxurious looking and feeling top that is different from all of the other merino wool tops that I’ve owned.  It’s simply lovely.

The details on the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top have elevated this from a “base layer” type of garment to something that can be worn out and about.  The neckline is a nice rounded opening.  The arm cuffs are generous – 3 inches long, which elevates the appearance of the sleeves. And the seams along the sides are done in a way that brings a nice shape to the shirt.  The bottom hemline is also very generous, hitting me at the widest part of my hip. Finally, the seams are all flatlock seams, minimizing any irritations.

I have been wearing the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top a lot, mainly because of how soft it is and how good it looks.  This shirt easily transitions from a base layer, to something you can wear to work or to dinner.  I’ve even been wearing it as pajamas, because it feels SO good. And during this near-constant testing period (I honestly have been wearing nearly every night after I get home for weeks), there are no signs of wear.

I have pretty sensitive skin and the knit of this 100% merino wool Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top is not at all itchy, just as advertised. The knit is very smooth and you get zero of the itch that you can sometimes get with wool garments. The shirt also has a nice stretch to it, even with being 100% merino. The shirt has held its shape well and seems pretty durable, even holding up to my cat’s claw when I pick her up.

I have also been able to wear it at altitude and it’s been great as a warmer layer under vests and jackets.

As Colorado decides to flip over to winter, I’m looking forward to wearing the Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top as a base layer for skiing or adding it into rotation for winter hikes or runs.

Closing Thoughts

The Woolx Hannah Long Sleeve Top is a well made and styled merino wool shirt that looks and feels fantastic.  It is available for women in eight shades and in sizes ranging from XS to 3XL.

She placed 9th in her age group and was the 1st American woman in her age group.
Somewhere along her triathlon journey, she picked up deep love of cycling. Cycling encouraged her to see landscapes in a new way, learn new skills and to develop self reliance; now she often goes and does Type 2 rides just to see if she can do it.  She’s got all the bikes: gravel, mountain, fat bike, time trial and road.
She is even known to combine her love of camping and cycling and go off on solo 24 hour overnight bikepacking trips in the mountains of Colorado. In addition to bikes, she teaches yoga, lifts weights, skis, SUPs and has recently purchased a campervan.

Fall and winter 2025 will bring Erin to the “Adventure Side”, with many camping, vanlife, bikepacking, and mountain bike rides. Once the snow flies, she can be find resort skiing, fat biking, and triathlon training (inside and outside).
2026 will bring a National Championship Cross Tri race, a National Championship Road Sprint and Olympic Distance race, and hopefully a chance to represent Team USA once again in 2027 in Edmonton, Canada. She’ll also save lots of room for adventure time with her friends and husband.
When not adventuring, she can be found on a sunny patio somewhere, drinking beers with her husband.
