Smartwool Ski Compression Print Over The Calf Socks
Smartwool Ski Compression Print Over The Calf Socks

Interestingly, the first time I wore them was during the cooler fall mountain biking season. The warmth and compression felt great when I was grinding up a long climb on my mountain bike! I’ve since worn them for both skiing and for work. I was quickly “sold” on wearing these socks for many purposes here in the high mountains of Colorado where I work and play!

Details: These socks were definitely made with attention to detail and high quality/environmentally sensitive materials.

They have graduated compression, which means they have more compression as you go down from the knee. These are over the calf socks, which for me are not hard to pull on, unlike some compression socks.

The socks do have purposely targeted cushioning (they ARE ski socks after all) which can make alpine ski boots fit a bit more comfortably. I found them to be warm enough for most days that I would alpine ski.

These are available in sizes Medium, Large and Extra Large directly from the manufacturer or wherever fine outdoor sportswear is sold. Smartwool does offer a women’s’ similar sock in smaller sizes with different graphics as well.
