Decathlon Freeride 3- in-1 Ski Pants SFR 900

This season I’ve been doing the majority of my tours in the Decathlon Freeride ski pants SFR 900 and I’m pretty happy with them. They are light and durable and one of the coolest features is they are modular.

Testing the Decathlon Freeride 900 Pants

I’ve toured in full on winter conditions with 50mph winds along with warm 40 degree days. The Decathlon Freeride pants are full zip which allows easy heat dump on the skin up. They feature 3 front pockets which are an ample amount. The pockets are big enough to house a beacon for those of us who pocket our beacons!

Insulated pants

Another great feature of the Freeride pant is the ability to layer with their puffy Capri pants. Just the right length to accommodate boots and significantly warm. For those who know me, I’m a huge fan of puffy pants. These insulated pants are fully removable for warmer temps.

Overall impressions of the Decathlon Freeride 900 Pants

Decathlon has covered pretty much all the bases with the Freeride pant with an affordable functional option for both on and off-piste skiing/riding. As with all of the Decathlon ski products they also are using RECCO technology.

About the author:

Hi, I’m Will, I’m currently living the van life in Colorado. I enjoy mountaineering, splitboarding, climbing, trail running and type 2 fun! I’m 28 years old and spend as much time outside as possible. I moved to Colorado in 2014 from Mississippi and grew up in the mid-south. I have been snowboarding since 2000 and the mountains have had my heart ever since. You can find me anywhere from riding Colorado’s high peaks to climbing desert towers, to climbing in the PNW!
