Outdoor Research Kulshan Flannel Shirt – Every Day Flannel
Outdoor Research Kulshan Flannel Shirt Review

I wanted a can-do, wear-anywhere flannel shirt that could be worn at work, recreating outdoors, and around my small mountain town doing errands. Fortunately for me, the Kulshan Flannel Shirt met all my criteria.
Unlike some flannel shirts that I have worn in the past, the Kulshan Flannel Shirt has so far retained its shape after washing, has yet to pill, and has shown no signs of shrinking. Another bonus is that it is wrinkle-resistant and ready to wear right out of the wash (something I couldn’t have said about other flannel shirts that I’ve previously worn).
Surprisingly soft (perhaps due to its updated lighter weight brushed fabric), the relaxed fit Kulshan Flannel Shirt is a good layering piece. Its boxy shape is right in step with the retro oversized trend this season, and it can be worn as a jacket with a base layer underneath.
I wore this shirt to work, outside walking the dogs and doing errands and it performed well. Specifically, working in a warehouse demands enough physical labor where you know you’ll sweat. The Kulshan Flannel Shirt kept moisture away so I didn’t feel gross and sticky at the end of the day- another plus.

Constructed from Bluesign-approved 100 percent polyester, the Kulshan Flannel Shirt’s casual style is underscored by its hand pockets, inverted yoke box pleat for extra mobility, and shirttail hem that provides extra coverage. It also boasts a UPF 50+ rating.
If you’re looking for a fitted, streamlined flannel the Kulshan Flannel Shirt is not it. What the Kulshan Flannel Shirt is, however, is a boxy workhorse of a flannel shirt whose anti-wrinkle technology and overall solid construction make it a good choice for every day flannel.
Finally, the men’s version of the Kulshan Flannel Shirt is also offered in the same Bone and Topaz prints as the women’s, so there is the potential for a his-and-hers couples gift this holiday season.
